KNIGHTS OF THE MONTH – Rick
Maier and Ron Gundrum – These men play a very important role in our council.
This past year, they coordinated the firewood project that amounted to nearly $2,500.00
in direct income in addition to saving the parish significant expense. Both Rick
and Ron are in leadership roles on the bowling tournament committee. They, along
with their spouses, Lori and Kathy, support our school, council and community in
many ways. Congratulations Rick and Ron!

92ND ANNUAL BOWLING TOURNAMENT
CELEBRATION SATURDAY, APRIL 19TH will start at 7:00PM in the St. John's school

because so many Knights stepped forward to provide support. Anyone who helped and/or
supported the event in any way, large or small, is invited. Spouses or guests included.
Dinner will be served. Curt Dresen will need help with set-up, grilling, etc. Please
call him if you can lend a hand or if you can bring a dessert.

APRIL 15TH IS JUST AROUNFD THE
CORNER - It's become popular this time of year to encourage the opening of an
IRA or similar retirement annuity, or the depositing of additional funds into an
existing account, as a tax savings vehicle. With the Knights of Columbus, you can
open a retirement annuity for as little as $300. Contact Dennis O'Connell, FICF,
at (800)795-4287 or dennis.o'connell@kofc.org.

KC ANNUAL TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE
will be held May 2-4, the warmest weekend we could find! Providing assistance to
agencies that aid families with disabilities champions our principle of charity
to those most in need. Please consider a donation of $5.00, the cost of a raffle
ticket. If you can help for a few hours that weekend, please call Jim Bardenwerper
or Fred Riederer . Pope Benedict's recent intention supports our efforts, "That
the mentally handicapped may not be marginalized but respected and lovingly helped
to live in a way worthy of their physical and social condition."
