MEETINGS
Council Meeting is on Wednesday, April 21st, beginning at 7 PM.

Grand Knight
- George Rizza has resigned as our Grand Knight. He has accepted a new
position with another company that will require his family to relocate. We wish him the very best.
|
|
|
Chaplin
- Please welcome Father Lance Schneider as our council Chaplin to replace
Father Pat Wendler who moved to Dodgeville.
|
|
|
Inside Guard
- Congratulations to Jerry Frederick for getting elected as our newest
officer to fill the vacated position of Earl Miller.
|
|
ELECTIONS
We will be accepting nominations for our council's officers during April and May. Elections will
take place in June and installation takes place in July at our scheduled business meeting. Officer
candidates must have their 2nd and 3rd Degrees.

|
MEMBERSHIP
Many thanks to all Brother Knights for their Dues and support for "Penny a Knight a Day" and "Culture
of Life Fund." If you had not had a chance to drop off you dues please contact Bob Zellner at 849-8559.

Knight of the Month
- George Rizza
We would like to recognize George, our Grand Knight since last July, as the Knight of the Month. We are
grateful for his leadership of our council and dedication to serve our Lord. George has shown us the
principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. He is a true example of what we knights aspire
to be.

Family of the Month
- Jeff and Jane Skoug
Congratulations to the family of Jeff and Jane Skoug! Jeff helps with the KC Pancake Breakfasts, worked
the KC concession stand at Camp Randall last fall, and works at the St. John's picnic each year. As the
Recreation Supervisor, Jeff also coordinates all of the recreation programs for the Waunakee Village Center.
Jane teaches in both the Children's Liturgy and Faith Formation programs at St. John's Church. She is also
active in, and previously chaired, the Waunakee chapter of the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) organization.

Badger Concession Stand
Last fall our council worked at a Badger football game and raised $870.38. Also, our council worked at the
Camp Randall Hockey Classic. Final receipts are pending.
|
|
Men's Basketball
St. John's School Gym will not be open on Thursday nights until next fall for basketball. Thanks to Rick
Maier for organizing this.

|
|
Josh Schaaf fund
- Our council donated $300 to help the young man with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. A fund has been established for
his family at Anchor Bank in Waunakee.
|
|
Charity raffle - Drawing to be held April 24th
If you need more Charity Raffle tickets, we have more. Tickets can be mailed to the council or dropped off
at Neil's Liquor. Please contact Paul Endres at 235-2814 for more information.

2010 KC State Convention - Wisconsin Dells, WI
The 109th annual Convention will be held at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center on April 24 and 25, 2010.
Our council will be represented by Rick Raemisch and Paul Endres.

KC Tootsie Roll Fundraiser for the Intellectually Disabled - April 30th - May 2nd, 2010
We are looking for volunteers to collect donations for a two hour shift that weekend or after mass. Please

information.

Year of the Priests Presentation - May 16, 2010
On Sunday 5/16 at 10 AM, the council plans to present a K of C Priest Chasuble and Stole to Msgr. Gunn and Fr.
Schneider. Following the mass, we plan a reception at school between 11 am and 12:30 pm. We will be looking
for help with this event.
