KNIGHT OF THE YEAR
is Jim Tillman. Jim has honorably served our council for the past 2 years as Grand
Knight. He has given of his time and talents in serving his fellow Knights and leading
our council in service to family, Church and community. Jim has successfully lead our
council in meeting the goal of "a better council." Congratulations Jim.

POPE BENEDICT'S MONTHLY PRAYER INTENTIONS
General: That public opinion may be more aware of the problem of millions of
displace persons and refugees and that concrete solutions may be found for their often
tragic situation.
Mission: That those Christians who are discriminated against and persecuted in
many countries because of the name of Christ may have their human rights, equality and
religious freedom recognized, in order to be able to live and profess their own faith
freely.

Waunafest
Congratulations to Vern Meier, Keith Clemens, Darrell Kutchmarek, Dan Endres ,Ben Wealti
for their leadership and our council volunteers for their hard work and great success at
Waunafest this year.
KC Waunafest Parade
Marshall Frey for organizing and leading our council in the Waunafest Parade. We were lead
by our council banner, the 4th Degree Honor Guard and the KC Clowns. This was a great way
to show our presence in the community.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACREMENT
at Holy Redeemer
Please call Dan Endres if you can give some of your time. Jesus can be adored in the most
Blessed Sacrament 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the parish chapel at Holy Redeemer
Church. The Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Program is looking for people who can volunteer
one hour per week (or more) in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

1st Degree
Our council will be hosting a 1st degree at our council meeting on Sept. 16th. Please
invite men in our parished that are 18 years or older to join the KC's. Please contact
Ed Gilkes or Marshall Frey if you have any questions.

3rd Degree
Congratulations to Carl R. Nachreiner in receiving his 3rd Degree in July.

|
4th Degree
September 19th in Oconomowoc
October 24th in Marshfield

The Fourth Degree imparts a lesson on the virtue of patriotism. The primary purpose of
this degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism in members and the community at large
and encourage active Catholic citizenship. A Fourth Degree Knight may become part of the
assembly's color corps. These members are recognized widely by their distinctive attire
of tuxedo, feathered hat (chapeau), cape and sword.

Badger Game
On September 19th our council will be operating the Knights of Columbus concession stand
at the Badgers football game at Camp Randal Stadium. Please call Jay Pitz at (785)-375-8545
or by email at pitz@wisc.edu. This will be a great event to raise monies for our council.

Council 6371 Officers Installed
Congratulations to all the new officers installed at the July Meeting. I would like to
thank all the current and past officers, committee leaders and members for a wonderful
fraternal year.
Many thanks to our District Deputy Al Russell for
conducting the installation of officers.

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Saturday mornings from 7am-8am in the gathering room next to the Chapel.
|

Knights of Columbus Punt, Pass and Kick
The Knights of Columbus will host a Punt, Pass, and Kick competition on Sunday, September 13th behind St John's School. Registration begins at noon with the competition beginning at 12:30. The competition is open to all boys and girls, ages 8 through 12 as of August 31st. For more information, call Neal Burkle.
