Knight of the Year is Marshall
Frey. Marsh has been in our council since 2001 and just completed his term as Grand
Knight. Because of his passion and dedication, our council will be receiving the
prestigious Star Council Award. Marsh has served at St. John's school and church.
Marsh will continue serving as a membership co-chair and trustee. Thank you Marsh!

Knight of the Month is Rick
Raemisch. Rick has been a KC for three plus years. He is currently serving our council
as Chancellor and has organized cell phone / ink cartridge recycling for Special
Olympics. Rick volunteers for many of our events. We are blessed to have him in
our council. Thanks Rick!

Our Sympathy is Extended to
the Family of Carl Templin. Carl, age 52, passed away August 22. He was the
past president of the Serra Club, past State Deputy, and member Fourth Degree Tri-County
Assembly Waunakee and KC Council 4549, Middleton.

Schara Lucht, recently passed away. Please pray for Harold and his family.

KC's Provided a Meal for 80
Men at the Grace Episcopal Shelter on July 30. We do this every month that has
a 5th Monday – on that Monday evening. Thank you Denny Pucetti, Chuck Frederick,
Greg Goetsch, Bernie Cleary and others who have helped. If interested in helping,
please call Denny.

KC GOLF OUTING at Sil-Ville
September 9, at 8:00 AM, Bernie Cleary is our chair. Fraternity and fun!

KC FAMILY PICNIC is Sunday,
September 23rd at Noon at St. John School - rain or shine. The KC's will provide
the burgers, brats, chips and drinks. Open to all - bring your family and friends!

Annual KC PUNT PASS & KICK
will be held on Sunday Sept 23rd 1:00 to 4:00 PM, behind St. John's school. Boys
and Girls ages 8 – 12 as of August 31 can participate. Chair: Neal Burkle.

St. John Cemetery "Straightening"
on Saturday, September 22nd 9 AM – Noon. Bring gloves, pry bars, and tools if you
can. Rick Maier is our chair.

Fr. Higgins Golf Event Septmber
17 at Pleasant View, contact Wayne Dohse. This is an eighteen hole scramble and
more details are on the bulletin board.

Men's Retreat at Monte Alverno
October 19-21. This is always a spiritually enriching experience. The pre-registration
fee of $20.00 is due at our next meeting. Total cost is $140.00 per person. For
more information, contact Earl Miller or Pete Matiash.

Second and Third Degree Exemplification
Sunday November 11, 2007, 10:00, at St. Bernard's in Middleton. This is a great
opportunity to continue growing as a Knight. Mark your calendars and watch for more
details.
