CHRIS HEIMERAL, DIRECTOR of
the FAMILY SUPPORT AND RESOURCE CENTER, spoke at our October meeting. A portion
of our Tootsie Roll proceeds were given to this organization with a mission of "making
it possible for children and youth with disabilities in Dane County to live at home
with their families as valued and participating members of the community." Chris
and brother Knights shared poignant stories about how they loved and cared for their
children and community members with disabilities. I felt the Spirit among us.
