CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR BROTHER KNIGHTS: Shining Armor Award to Scott
Nerat, Recruiting Award to Marshall Frey, Family of the Month Award Brad
Patzner (Cindy), 4th Degree attained by Marshall Frey and Jerry Bauer, State
Bowling champions Scott Nerat for #1 in the Doubles and Scott Adler for
being on the winning Princeton team and for winning the handicap "All
Events" competition. In addition, on October 20th, Tom Ibinger bowled his
first 300 game at the Waun-A-Bowl. Way to go all! We are proud of you.

OUR SYMPATHY IS EXTENDED to Marshall and Anne Frey. Anne's mom died
very unexpectedly. Marsh and Anne, you and your family are in our prayers.

THE MEN'S RETREAT WAS HELD OCTOBER 17-19 at Monte Alverno in Appleton.
Mark your calendar for next year – October 16-18. The theme will be, "God is
knocking, open the door." If you want to view a DVD about Monte Alverno, let
me know. Thanks to Earl Miller for helping with registration.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE PRAYER VIGIL was held September 24 – November 2. Thanks
to all those who participated in person or who supported in other ways. Special
thanks to Brad Nygaard for helping us get organized.
|
|
|
CEMETARY CLEAN-UP – St. John's, November 8th at 9AM. Rain date is
November 15th.
|
|
|
THE MEMORIAL MASS will be November 8th, 8PM at St. John's. The KC choir
will be providing the music. Practice is on the same evening at 7PM. Please
join us as we remember our fallen brothers. Jim Elvekrog is chair.

|
THE ANNUAL THANKSGIVING DANCE is scheduled for November 15th. Help is
needed!
Please participate by coming to the dance, purchasing tickets as
a donation or helping before, during or after the event.
Drop off
tickets and money in the collection basket or at Neil's Liquor. Jim Kluck,
dance chair.

SPECIAL THANKS FOR A JOB WELL DONE goes to Larry Gehri who served
as the first Waunakee KC bowling tournament treasurer. Larry also served
on the 2008 tournament committee. As a result of Larry's good financial
stewardship over many years, our council was able to continue doing many
good works.

|
NEW PLANT STANDS NEXT TO OUR MONUMENT TO THE UNBORN were the result
of Rick Maier taking care of all the details. Thank you Rick.

KC MEN'S NIGHT AT ST.JOHN'S GYM – Thursdays, 8:30 -10:00PM for volley ball
and/or basketball. Call Rick Maier.

RECENT DONATIONS: St. John's Bible study $1,500, refinishing the St.
John's gym floor $3,500, Community Band $250, meals for seniors $250 and
Catholic Charities, $250.

YOUTH CONTESTS ARE ONGOING - Steve Geishirt is helping us with the
Essay Contest and the Christmas Poster Contest.
